Zubair Haider

PRESIDENT & CEO

Zubair Haider started his career after completing his MBA from IBA Karachi. He has over 30 years of experience and has held senior positions at various banks in Pakistan and the Middle East; including HSBC, Meezan Bank Limited, National Bank of Pakistan, Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan and Banque Saudi Fransi, Saudi Arabia. He also holds an LL.B. degree from Sindh Muslim Law College, Karachi.
Zubair is also a member of the Executive Committee of Management Association of Pakistan for 2021-2024. He is a Certified Director through ICAP’s Directors Training Program. He is also serving as a director on the boards of two leading companies. He also represents various business councils and committees of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).
Zubair’s areas of expertise include Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Capacity Building, Islamic Finance, Strategy, Leadership, Credit Risk and Business Development. He has also led complex multi-million-dollar deals and influenced profitable outcomes.

Ayyaz Ahmad

Corporate Finance Lead Expert

Ayyaz Ahmad is a fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and of Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan (ICSP). He also holds the certification of 'Certified Director' under the regulations of the SECP. His 35-year professional career encompassed a diverse variety of responsibilities which include financial management, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, internal audits, strategic planning, and Shariah compliance.

Recently employed at Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited undertaking the roles of Chief Internal Auditor, Chief Risk Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Furthermore, he was the Independent Director and Chairman of Board Credit Committee of a leasing company, visiting faculty member at National Institution of Management Sciences.

Zillay A. Nawab

Quality Assurance & Benchmarking Lead Expert

Zillay A. Nawab is a management consultant with over 40 years of international experience in multiple segments. He has developed & deployed organizational diagnostic assessment (ODA) methodology, wherein areas for improvement are identified based on best practices, ISO standards and business excellence frameworks. His engagements are industry agnostic, including power generation, food, infrastructure development, fertilizer and a host of other verticals.

Zillay is currently providing advisory services to the Government of Pakistan and blue-chip organizations including Metro Wind Power, Gul Ahmed Wind Power, Metro Power Company and others. He is also active in international standards development. Zillay chairs both Canadian and International ISO technical committees developing standards on risk management, water reuse, service & performance indicators, asset management, service excellence and sharing economy. He excels in project management, teamwork, analysis, training, problem solving, written and verbal communication.

Shadab Faridudin

Market Research Lead Expert

Shadab Fariduddin, is a Pakistan-based researcher and management consultant who has served clients in Afghanistan, Botswana, Ethiopia, Qatar, South Africa, Europe, Turkey and UAE in the last 25 years. He holds degrees of MBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA - Karachi) and MS in Management Science from Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Inst. of Sc. & Tech (SZABIST - Karachi). His experience spans corporate, government and non-profit sectors. He has worked with USAID, EU, UNDP, ADB, and several other major donors.

As an accomplished researcher, he has carried out over 150 research studies. He grew a market research agency that he founded in 2008 from 3-members to 70-strog staff with offices in Pakistan and UAE. He is among the top-1 percent of over 80 million researchers on Academia, world leading research-sharing portal.

Shiraz Shaikh 
Corporate Finance Executive

Shiraz Shaikh’s professional career started 15 years ago after his MBA from IBA Karachi, as he held Corporate Relationship Management positions in Islamic and Conventional banks within Pakistan and UAE primarily. Being an ex corporate banker, his key forte is Business Development.

His latest venture involves a private equity management of an established Dairy setup in Pakistan. He is also pursuing the coveted CFA certification. On a part time basis, Shiraz actively teaches Economics and also prepares students appearing for the CFA exam.  

Asad A. Leghari
Corporate Finance Associate

Asad Ahmad Leghari graduated from IBA Karachi with majors in Accounting & Finance. He is an ACCA finalist and a CFA Level 2 candidate. During the past year, he has been part of various engagement teams at Lumina, which include assignments related to equity raising and rationalization of banking facilities for different clients.

With a knack of problem solving and critical thinking, Asad has curiously entered the world of Management Consulting which promises to help him realize his ambitions and potential.  

Sidra Z. Shaikh
Associate

Sidra Zubair Shaikh graduated from IBA Karachi with majors in Computer Science. Some of her major projects include designing and executing a Gamification for the sales force of Engro Fertilizers.

Moreover, being skilled in web development, she set up an e-commerce site for a Pakistan-based modest wear brand. With a passion to grow everyday, Sidra is on a continuous journey of expanding her skill set.

With an inquisitive and creative energy, Sidra has joined Lumina’s team seeking to leverage her skills.
